SPONSORED BY THE TTU VERNACULAR MUSIC CENTER

The TTU Vernacular Music Center is proud to sponsor the many wonderful musicians, dancers, and artists in the community!

Miziki Rhythm Africa

This is a professional group of graduate students of TTU School of Music, sponsored by the TTU Vernacular Music Center. They perform and teach music and dances from Africa. They play several African musical instruments and perform a variety of African dances as well as western musical instruments, and sometimes do a fusion of both genres.

Miziki Rhythm Africa Ensemble has represented the TTU School of Music in several community outreach programs, sharing African knowledge, skills, and heritage with the Lubbock community and schools within Lubbock ISD. Miziki Rhythm Africa has travelled internationally
sharing knowledge and skills in Arts festivals and cultural exchange programs around the globe including Africa, America, Asia, Europe, and Asia.
